Promising leukemia combo moves to phase 2 trial
NCT ID NCT01409161
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether combining two chemotherapy drugs (tretinoin and arsenic trioxide) with a targeted therapy (gemtuzumab ozogamicin) works better than the two drugs alone for adults with a specific type of leukemia called acute promyelocytic leukemia. About 151 newly diagnosed patients will take part. The goal is to see if the combination improves how long patients stay free of cancer-related events.
