New hope for anemia patients as experimental drug enters human testing
NCT ID NCT05773586
Summary
This is the first human study testing a new experimental drug called APG-5918 for treating anemia. Researchers will give the drug to 105 healthy volunteers and people with chronic anemia to check if it's safe and how the body processes it. The study will also look for early signs that the drug might help raise hemoglobin levels in anemic patients.
