Scientists map the genetic blueprint of a rare immune disorder

NCT ID NCT03751683

Summary

This study aimed to better understand APECED syndrome, a rare genetic disorder that causes multiple autoimmune problems. Researchers analyzed 29 French patients to see how different gene mutations relate to the specific symptoms and antibody patterns they develop. The goal was to gather knowledge to improve future diagnosis and understanding of the disease, not to test a new treatment.
