Summary
This study provided early access to the drug apalutamide for men with a specific type of advanced prostate cancer that had stopped responding to standard hormone therapy but had not yet spread to other parts of the body. The main goal was to collect safety information while the drug was being reviewed for full approval. Participants took the drug along with their ongoing hormone therapy to help control the cancer.
