New drug trial aims to delay prostate cancer progression

NCT ID NCT04108208

Summary

This study is testing whether the drug apalutamide can delay the rise of a prostate cancer marker (PSA) in Chinese men whose cancer has stopped responding to standard hormone therapy but hasn't spread. It will compare apalutamide against a placebo in 75 participants. The main goal is to see if the drug can buy more time before the cancer progresses.
