New drug aims to save limbs from amputation

NCT ID NCT07352800

Summary

This study is testing a new injectable medicine called APAC, which is designed to prevent dangerous blood clots. It aims to see if APAC is safe and to find the best dose for people with severely blocked arteries in their legs, a condition that can lead to amputation. The study will involve 42 patients, some of whom will receive APAC alongside a standard procedure to open their arteries, and will track their health for up to six months.
