Researchers map the hidden pains of aortic surgery recovery

NCT ID NCT07362901

Summary

This study aims to measure and understand the various types of discomfort patients experience after having a minimally invasive procedure to repair a damaged aorta (the body's main artery). Researchers will follow 132 patients after their surgery, using a detailed questionnaire to track issues like pain at the incision site, skin irritation from bandages, trouble moving, and stress. The goal is to gather information that will help doctors and nurses improve care and make recovery more comfortable for future patients.
