New plug technique aims to fix 'Leaky' aorta repairs

NCT ID NCT07198295

Summary

This study is testing whether adding special plugs during a standard aorta repair procedure leads to better long-term results. Researchers will follow 72 patients in China for one year after they receive the combined treatment. The goal is to see if this approach more completely seals the damaged area of the aorta to prevent future expansion and need for additional surgeries.
