New device aims to seal deadly aortic tears after surgery
NCT ID NCT07402252
Summary
This study is testing a new medical device designed to help patients heal better after major emergency surgery for a torn aorta (type A aortic dissection). The device is a stent-graft system placed inside the aorta to seal off the damaged area. Researchers will compare patients who receive the device plus standard medical care to those who receive standard care alone to see if the device leads to better healing and fewer complications over 12 months.
