New ultrasound technique tested to stop severe bleeding
NCT ID NCT04745585
Summary
This study tested two ways to press on the main artery in the belly (aorta) to reduce blood flow to the leg, a technique that could help control severe bleeding in emergencies. Researchers compared a standard manual method to a new method guided by an ultrasound machine. The study was done on 20 healthy volunteers to see which technique was more effective and caused less pain.
