Could your nerves before surgery make you faint?

NCT ID NCT07450014

Summary

This study aims to understand if a patient's anxiety level before getting spinal anesthesia affects their chance of having a vasovagal event, like fainting or a sudden drop in heart rate and blood pressure, during the procedure. Researchers will measure anxiety in 1,500 adults before their surgery and then monitor them closely. The goal is to gather knowledge that could help medical teams better predict and manage this common side effect.
