Summary
This study aimed to understand how anxiety and poor sleep together affect the immune system and quality of life in people with colorectal cancer who are receiving chemotherapy. Researchers observed 103 patients, comparing blood tests and survey results between those with significant anxiety and sleep problems and those with few symptoms. The goal was to learn if these common symptoms might make it harder for the body to fight cancer.
