Cancer Patients' mental health may weaken their immune defenses
NCT ID NCT07234682
Summary
This study looked at whether anxiety and sleep problems together affect the immune system and quality of life in people with colorectal cancer who are getting chemotherapy. Researchers compared blood tests and survey results from 103 patients who had significant anxiety and poor sleep to those with few symptoms. The goal was to understand if these common struggles during treatment are linked to weaker immune cell counts and lower life quality.
