Can a special pill boost fertility for women with PCOS?
NCT ID NCT04670393
Summary
This study tested whether a daily supplement containing antioxidants and probiotics could improve egg quality and reduce bodily stress in women with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) who were undergoing IVF treatment. Twenty women were randomly assigned to receive either the supplement or a placebo pill. Researchers measured the number of mature eggs retrieved, pregnancy rates, and various markers of stress and gut health to see if the supplement made a difference.
