Scientists harvest patient antibodies to fight 'Superbug' infections
NCT ID NCT04335383
Summary
This study aims to develop a new treatment for infections caused by Pseudomonas aeruginosa, a bacteria that can become resistant to many antibiotics. Researchers will collect blood from 30 patients who have previously fought off this infection, isolate their natural antibodies, and produce them in a lab. The goal is to create a ready-made antibody treatment that could help other patients when antibiotics fail.
