Could a simple antibiotic cocktail stop preterm birth?

NCT ID NCT06572761

First seen May 09, 2026 · Last updated May 09, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether giving a mix of three antibiotics to pregnant women who show signs of very early labor (between 18 and 23 weeks) can delay delivery and improve baby survival and health. About 350 women will be randomly assigned to receive either the antibiotics or standard care. The goal is to reduce serious complications like death, lung problems, and brain bleeding in newborns.
