New hope in fight against superbug bladder infections
NCT ID NCT03543436
Summary
This study compared two intravenous antibiotics for treating serious urinary tract infections caused by drug-resistant bacteria. It tested whether temocillin works as well as carbapenems, which are currently used but can contribute to antibiotic resistance. The trial involved 29 hospitalized adults with confirmed infections from these resistant bacteria.
