Scientists track Antibiotic's journey through infected bodies
NCT ID NCT07426471
Summary
This study aims to measure how much of the antibiotic delafloxacin gets into the blood and different tissues of patients with serious skin, bone, or joint infections. Researchers will enroll 20 adult patients already receiving this antibiotic treatment and collect blood samples and small tissue samples during their scheduled surgeries. The goal is to understand how well the drug reaches the actual sites of infection, which could help doctors use it more effectively in the future.
