Study challenges routine antibiotics before bladder procedure

NCT ID NCT05534399

Summary

This study is testing whether patients with multiple sclerosis or spinal cord injury can safely skip preventive antibiotics before receiving bladder injections for overactive bladder. Researchers want to see if avoiding these antibiotics does not lead to more urinary tract infections after the procedure. The goal is to reduce unnecessary antibiotic use while keeping patients safe.
