Hidden threat in pregnancy: study hunts superbugs when water breaks early
NCT ID NCT07200999
Summary
This study aims to find out how common certain antibiotic-resistant bacteria are in pregnant women whose water breaks too early. Researchers will follow 250 women from the time their water breaks until they give birth, taking regular swabs to check for these bacteria. The goal is to gather information that helps doctors choose the most effective antibiotics to prevent infections in both the mother and the newborn baby.
