Summary

This study looked at whether giving antibiotics early to ICU patients who might have inhaled stomach contents (aspiration) could prevent pneumonia and other complications. It involved only 5 critically ill adults and was stopped early. The goal was to see if early treatment could reduce time in the ICU and on breathing machines.
