Summary
This study tested whether putting antibiotic powder directly into open fracture wounds can help prevent infections. Open fractures are severe bone breaks that often get infected. The study included 20 adults with certain types of open fractures. Researchers applied vancomycin or tobramycin powder during surgery and tracked infections and bone healing.
