NCT ID NCT02783859

First seen Jan 16, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study looked at whether giving children a longer course of antibiotics (amoxicillin-clavulanic acid) improves recovery from pneumonia compared to a shorter course. It involved 314 hospitalized children aged 3 months to 5 years. The goal was to see if longer treatment reduces long-term breathing problems. The findings help doctors decide the best treatment length.
