Doctors test which antibiotic strategy saves more lives from dangerous blood infection
NCT ID NCT07299539
Summary
This study aims to find out if using one antibiotic or a combination of two is better for treating a serious blood infection caused by the Enterococcus faecalis bacteria. Researchers will look at 700 adult patients who had this infection to see which treatment approach leads to fewer deaths in the hospital. The goal is to provide clearer guidance for doctors on the best way to manage this potentially life-threatening condition.
