New hope for colorectal cancer: early targeted therapy may extend control
NCT ID NCT04587128
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 33 times
Summary
This study tests whether giving anti-EGFR drugs (panitumumab or cetuximab) early in treatment can help control advanced colorectal cancer that has spread and cannot be removed by surgery. About 34 people with left-sided tumors will receive these targeted therapies to see if the cancer stays stable or shrinks for at least 6 months. The goal is to improve disease control and possibly allow for retreatment later.
