New feeding strategy aims to get anorexia patients home faster

NCT ID NCT04966858

Summary

This study compares two feeding approaches for hospitalized teens and young adults (ages 12-24) with atypical anorexia nervosa. Researchers want to see if an individualized calorie plan helps restore medical stability faster than the current standard approach, while remaining safe. The trial follows 74 participants during hospitalization and for one year afterward to track recovery.
