Scientists probe blood clot mystery in autoimmune disease

NCT ID NCT06373926

Summary

This study aims to better understand what causes dangerous blood clots in people with antiphospholipid syndrome (APS). Researchers will measure levels of a specific protein, called annexin A2, on the surface of immune cells (monocytes) in 60 adults with APS. The goal is to see if changes in this protein are linked to the disease, which could lead to new insights for future treatments.
