Ankle cuff could speed up Skin-to-Skin contact after C-Section

NCT ID NCT07422766

First seen Feb 21, 2026 · Last updated Jun 17, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study checks if blood pressure readings from an ankle cuff are as accurate as those from an arm cuff during planned C-sections. If so, moms could hold their babies skin-to-skin right after birth without needing an arm cuff in the way. About 110 pregnant women having scheduled C-sections will participate, with each woman acting as her own comparison.
