First seen Feb 11, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This study compares two standard surgical methods—suture button and Fibulink implant—for repairing ankle syndesmosis injuries. About 140 adults with acute ankle fractures requiring surgery will be randomly assigned to one of the two procedures. Researchers will measure pain, function, range of motion, and time to return to work to see which method leads to better recovery.
