Ankle adjustment tested to help stroke survivors walk better
NCT ID NCT07264946
Summary
This study tested whether a specific ankle joint manipulation technique could improve the muscle structure in the ankles of people who have had a stroke. Thirty-six stroke survivors received both the real manipulation and a fake version to compare the effects. Researchers used ultrasound imaging to see if the treatment changed how the ankle muscles were built.
