Ankle power: simple training may boost senior mobility

NCT ID NCT06284525

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 19, 2026 · Updated 32 times

Summary

This early study tested two ideas in 9 older adults (ages 65-85) with sarcopenia: whether resistance training at the ankle improves walking, and whether wearable devices that assist the ankle, knee, or hip can boost walking performance. The goal was to find simple ways to help seniors move better. Results measured changes in walking distance, energy use, and ankle strength.
