Lab test aims to find better Eye-Healing treatment for rare condition
NCT ID NCT05400590
Summary
This study is a laboratory experiment comparing two treatments made from a patient's own blood to see which one might work better for healing the cornea (the clear front part of the eye) in people with aniridia, a rare eye condition. Researchers will take blood samples from 24 people (12 with aniridia and 12 healthy volunteers) to create two different treatments in a lab dish. They will test which treatment helps eye cells heal faster and with less scarring.
