First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study tests whether Angiotensin II, given as the first drug for low blood pressure after heart surgery, can reduce complications like kidney injury and irregular heartbeat. About 100 adults undergoing heart surgery with a heart-lung machine will receive the drug if their blood pressure stays low despite fluids. Researchers will track their health for 28 days to see if this approach improves outcomes.
