First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study looks at how the hormone angiotensin-(1-7) affects how many calories people with obesity burn at rest and whether it helps produce heat in fat tissue. Researchers will give the hormone or a saltwater placebo to 30 adults aged 18-60 with a BMI between 30-40. The goal is to better understand energy balance, not to treat or cure obesity.
