New device aims to safely reopen severely blocked leg arteries
NCT ID NCT04663867
Summary
This study tested a new medical tool called the AngioSafe System. It is designed to help doctors safely navigate through completely blocked arteries in the legs of people with severe peripheral artery disease. The main goal was to see if the device could successfully guide a wire through the blockage without causing serious problems. Researchers followed 79 patients in the U.S. for 30 days after the procedure to check safety and effectiveness.
