New imaging test may spot chemo success early in breast cancer
NCT ID NCT05402930
First seen Mar 20, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study tested whether angiomammography (a contrast-enhanced mammogram) can predict if breast cancer will fully disappear after chemotherapy, compared to MRI. Researchers followed 67 women with breast cancer to see if a 50% tumor size reduction after two chemo cycles could predict a complete response. The goal is to identify non-responders early and switch treatments to improve outcomes.
