Could a simple stiffness test revolutionize breast cancer diagnosis?

NCT ID NCT06085833

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study is testing a new device called ARTIDIS that measures how stiff breast tissue is to help doctors tell if a suspicious lump is cancer. About 2,700 people with breast lumps will have their biopsy samples tested with ARTIDIS, and the results will be compared to standard lab tests. The goal is to see if this quick measurement can accurately diagnose cancer and predict how aggressive it might be.
