First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study looks at how four different anesthesia drugs change the immune system in 80 healthy adults aged 20-30. Participants are randomly assigned to receive propofol, sevoflurane, ciprofol, or no anesthesia. Blood samples are taken before, right after, and 24 and 48 hours after anesthesia to analyze immune cells and molecules. The goal is to understand anesthesia's effects on immunity without surgery, which could improve safety for future patients.
