Summary
This study looks at 100 people who recently had a stroke and need surgery to open a blocked neck artery. Half will get numbing medicine only in the neck (regional anesthesia), and the other half will be fully asleep (general anesthesia). The goal is to see which method leads to fewer complications like another stroke, heart attack, or infection.
