New anesthesia approach aims to protect elderly patients from dangerous blood pressure drops during surgery
NCT ID NCT07328958
Summary
This study is testing if a personalized, carefully adjusted anesthesia method can reduce dangerous drops in blood pressure during surgery for older adults. Researchers will compare this approach to a standard fixed-dose method in 500 patients aged 65 and older having laparoscopic abdominal surgery. The goal is to see if the personalized method leads to more stable blood pressure and better recovery after the operation.
