NCT ID NCT05444751

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 34 times

Summary

This study looks at two ways to manage pain and recovery during lower back surgery. One group gets standard general anesthesia (fully asleep) plus a nerve block, while the other gets spinal anesthesia (awake but numb from the waist down) plus a nerve block. The goal is to see which approach helps patients feel better and recover faster after surgery. About 142 adults aged 18–80 with certain back problems will take part.
