Does watching a Child's brain during surgery affect their behavior years later?

NCT ID NCT07473024

Summary

This study is checking if using a special brain monitor during a child's surgery affects their behavior in the long run. Researchers will contact 230 children 1-2 years after their surgery to see if those who had their brain activity monitored during anesthesia behave differently than those who had standard care. The goal is to learn if better control of anesthesia depth can help prevent lasting negative behavior changes after a hospital stay.
