Doctors probe how anesthesia impacts frail seniors during eye surgery
NCT ID NCT06482996
Summary
This study aims to understand how general anesthesia affects blood pressure and pressure inside the eye during cataract surgery in older adults. Researchers will measure these changes in 80 patients aged 65-85 and see if they relate to how frail a person is before surgery. The goal is to learn if frailty assessment can help predict risks and improve surgical planning for elderly patients.
