Doctors probe hidden risks of sleep surgery for elderly eyes
NCT ID NCT06482996
Summary
This study aims to understand how general anesthesia affects blood pressure and eye pressure in older, frail patients having cataract surgery. Researchers will observe 80 patients aged 65-85 to see if frailty makes them more sensitive to these pressure changes during the procedure. The goal is to gather knowledge to help plan safer surgeries for elderly patients in the future.
