Summary
This study tested a new, personalized anesthesia plan designed to prevent serious lung problems after major abdominal surgery. Researchers compared this new plan to standard anesthesia care in 794 patients at high risk for these complications. The goal was to see if a specific set of steps during and after surgery could protect patients' lungs and reduce hospital stays.
