First seen Jun 10, 2026 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study looks at how two types of anesthesia — inhaled gas or IV drugs — affect thinking and recovery after sleeve gastrectomy (weight-loss surgery). About 60 adults having this surgery will be randomly assigned to one method. Researchers will measure how quickly they wake up and how well their brain functions in the hours and days after surgery.
