Summary

This study is testing an investigational drug called luspatercept to see if it can help people with a genetic blood disorder called alpha-thalassemia. The main goal is to see if the drug can safely reduce the need for frequent blood transfusions in adults who require them and increase hemoglobin levels in those who don't. Researchers will also check the drug's safety and how it behaves in the body of adolescent participants.
