Stapler spike position may influence bleeding risk in bowel surgery

Summary

This study looks at how the position of the stapler spike during colorectal surgery affects bleeding where the bowel is reconnected. About 102 adults with colorectal cancer or diverticulitis will take part. Doctors will check for bleeding during and after surgery using a camera. The goal is to learn which stapler placement leads to less bleeding.
