NCT ID NCT04940494
First seen Nov 20, 2025 · Last updated Jun 13, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study looked at how common anal incontinence (leaking stool or gas) is in women who had an anal sphincter injury during childbirth. Researchers reviewed records of 227 women who gave birth between 2005 and 2019. The goal was to find out how many women are affected and what factors make it more likely, since many women do not tell their doctors about this problem.
