Bone-Building drugs face off in osteoporosis trial

Summary

This study looks at how well two FDA-approved medications work to strengthen bones in postmenopausal women who are at high risk for fractures. About 50 women will take one of the drugs for 12 months, and researchers will measure changes in hip bone density. The goal is to find out which treatment is more effective for controlling osteoporosis.
